Our rabbi speaks

rebe molitva    Boris Grisenko has been the Senior Rabbi (pastor) of KJMC from the very beginning.

Rabbi Boris is also the Vice Chairman of the Ukrainian Interchurch Council and holds an Honorary Doctorate in Theology from CLST (Christian Life School of Theology).

Within the Сongregation, he initiated forms of ministry that were somewhat unusual for religious communities at the time, such as clubs, coffee rooms, outdoor Shabbats (Saturday services) and concerts devoted to biblical holidays. For the first time ever, KJMC began to regularly use original Jewish music that had been developed in the territory of Ukraine in the 18th and 19th centuries during their Shabbat services to praise God. Thousands of people have repented over the years that the Сongregation has been at work thanks to these services.

Run away from self-pity!

Опубликовано в

Add a headingSelf-pity often prevents us from getting God's liberty in different situations and problems. We feel sorry for ourselves when our plans and hopes are crashing. This condition can fuel us in holding a grudge against God and we unable to free ourselves from heaviness and pain. It is difficult for us to accept God's comfort because we are comforting ourselves. A paradox isn't it. But we are comforting ourselves by our own problem: pains, fears, an unfair attitude to ourselves. After all, we might need some compensating equivalent not necessarily sinful but one that is not from God.

What is love?

What is Love

The Bible says that love "is the bond of perfection" (Col. 3:14, NKJV). Love is an alliance of all perfections: perfect kindness and power, perfect and holy God's authority, perfect joy, boldness, truth, freedom, and victory. All these kind of perfections enveloped into His amazing love. Love is not one of God's attributes. Love is not simply one of the traits of His character. Love is not a particular activity. Love is God Himself, the Holy God of Israel. Love is Him!

Is the “silent disaffection” to Jewish people anti-Semitism?

Question: Is it possible to consider “silent disaffection” to the Jewish people, an inner attitude of a person without any vigorous action, as anti-Semitism? Based on the principle “what is within me is nobody’s business”?

Forgive God and yourself

Forgive God and yourself

God loves us very much, that is why He shows what prevents us from being close to Him, being friends with Him, and what prevents Him from leading us through life as He always dreamed of. This is reproof of the loving heart. These are individual gifts from God. How many people who have experienced some tragedy, are caught up in it and do not move forward with God.

The joy that was hidden from us

It was commanded in the Torah and in the books of the Prophets to greatly rejoice and to be glad before the Lord's face. It repeatedly says that God's people do not hesitate to express the joy that God pours out into their hearts. In ancient Hebrew, the language of the Tanakh (the Bible), there are six different words where one of the major meaning is 'shout for joy'. There is another couple of words with the meaning 'to noisily rejoice, to laugh loudly'.

Israel: A falling away from God. Forever?

shofar 12 11

Friends, it's critical to understand and clearly realize that the falling away of Israel from God happens only until THE APPOINTED TIME. Rest assured, says Apostle Paul in the Epistle to the Romans chapter 11, it's not forever.
