Sukkot, also known as the Feast of Tabernacles, is God's reminder for all believers in Yeshua as for historical perspectives as for the future. We all need to remember these events of the past during these seven days. We do not just celebrate it traditionally, but truly seek God’s will for our lives. Moreover, these reminders literally affect our personal future!

If you would go deep into the Jewish-biblical celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles, it will reveal to you the importance of God's salvation not only of a man itself but all of mankind.

The Lord has bound lives of the nations with the Jewish people,"Remember the days of old… when the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations...He set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the children of Israel" (Deuteronomy 32:7-8, NKJV). Our forefather Abraham received the promise from the One who said I AM THAT I AM, "...And in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed." (Genesis 12:3, NKJV)

Different aspects of this blessing may be considered, but the blessing of the salvation of the soul of the man is the greatest. Just imagine the salvation of the entire nation! The festival of Sukkot calls us to unite under the name of the Lord and Savior Yeshua ha Mashiach. (Leviticus 23:39-44, Zachariah 14:16-19, John 7:37-39, Revelation 7:9-10, NKJV).

Why on the feast of Sukkot, in the olden days, the priests took water from the source of Shiloah, brought it to the Temple, and pouring it out on the altar they proclaimed, “Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" (Psalm 118: 25-26, NKJV)? Because only the Jewish people understood the true meaning and importance of the salvation, "Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the Gentiles, to give thanks to Your holy name, to triumph in Your praise (Psalm 106:47, NKJV). In order to reveal the fullness of true salvation, we need to be united and to intercede for each other. And the feast of Sukkot could truly unite all believers in Yeshua the Messiah who are gathering together with great gladness (zman simhateinu)  and bringing their fruits for the great glory of God.

When the Temple still was in Jerusalem, the people of Israel interceded for all the nations and the peoples, bringing sacrifices on Sukkot and singing praises to God, "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!" (Psalm 117, NKJV). If the people of Israel interceded for all the nations, then we are the debtors to them!

Let our faithfulness and our gratitude to the Savior be expressed in intercession for His people – Israel. Apostle Shaul (Paul) shows a biblical example of what attitude we should have to Israel before the Lord, “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved" (Romans 10:1, NKJV).

The lessons of the past show us the great God's faithfulness to Israel: God at many times and differently delivered and He still continues to deliver His people from their enemies. He was, He is and He will always be with the Jewish people. The Savior never be satisfied until He will save His people, “For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns" (Isaiah 62:1, NKJV).

So let us, as believers in the Savior of Israel, do not stop until His chosen people will awake!
