When we are going after God; when we are really going after Him, we find that God has already gone before us. But when we are standing still and not going after God, it seems to us that God is behind us waiting for us to stumble. This is a very important point.  When we go with Him, it becomes clear, and the further we go, the clearer it becomes that we are following Him.

He always takes the first steps before us. But when we are waiting on God to do everything while we stand, sit or lay, it seems that God is somewhere behind us watching us sternly, waiting for us to stumble or make mistakes.
